Curtis Rink received an email from the Winfield Chamber of Commerce in regards to planning their activities for 2023.  The Chamber is planning for their 150 year celebration to be held in 2023.  Would we like for our club and show to be a part of this? Loma Berndsen said that she would attend the meeting to see what all is going on with that. Loma will report back during the next meeting.

The annual chili supper will be held on Saturday, February 5th, 2022 here at the club meeting room. Eat about 6pm.  Please bring chili, soup, dessert, crackers…..

Curtis Rink announced that we need to start working on contacting vendors for the 2022 show. Dennis Metz stated that the new contract for the fairgrounds has been agreed on and signed with the City of Winfield.

It was discussed and agreed on to print 1500 large show flyers and 500 small show flyers.

Up Coming Events:

  • Steam Engine School- Will be held the end of April.  Justin Johnson stated that he hasn’t heard anything on it yet.

NEED to do:

  • Need to contact the fire department to get us on the calendar

  • Work on buttons, programs and show flyers

It was announced again that the car show will be held on the paved area north of barn

Irvin Parsons received a letter from the daughter of past member, Max Lemmons along with a check in the amount of $500 to be put towards whatever needs it in the club.

Bryson Looney would like to know if anyone would be interested in having an auction at the show this year.  If it is decided to have an auction, Bryson would like to offer his auctioneer services.  Dennis Mets stated that the last 2 or 3 auctions were nothing but junk.  We would like to stay away from “junk sales”. This will be tabled until the next meeting.

Krystal Kelly brought up a valid point.  Barn 4 vendors are required to pay a $40 vendor fee.  The Flea market vendors are not required to pay anything other than their gate fee.  The flea market should have to pay a vendor fee as well. Discussion was held. Barn 4 Vendors are questioning this.  More discussion was held. The unsecured used to pay a $25 booth rent.  It was decided that any unsecured vendors (flea Market) will pay $30 space rent as well as their $5 gate fee.

John Berndsen asked for help to get the stuff back upstairs that was used for the Christmas parade float.

Reminder: Annual membership fees: $35 men age 18 and up

$20 for ladies and anyone under the age of 18
